One of my favorite things about DC so far is the fact that there are very few mosquitoes!! I have only killed three the three days i have been here so far. I love the fact that I can sit on the front porch for hours watching the traffic and the people and i don't have to saturate my skin with DEET!
I love having a family to cook for!! It will be so much fun cooking for Tony and the kids...they love any kind of food, the more organic and healthier the better! There are so many great markets and food coops that I think I will have even more fun when I can go food shopping for real food for a whole family vs shopping for cereal, yogurt and milk for just me!
The fantastic architecture...I wanna walk a different way to work each day just to see all the different ways the people have made their row house their own! Some are so fantastic with flower beds that are gorgeous and paint colors to match. Some are bright and contrasting and some are pale and subtle...all are homes of very friendly people though!
Eastern Market...lots of eclectic shops of all kinds!!! coffee, cafes, thrift, gift, ice cream, edible arrangements etc!! Can't wait for the weekend to go back and look around!
