Week One

My flight to DC was uneventful...thank goodness because I hate flying!!  However, I did put on my big girl pants and look out the window a couple times to take a few pictures of the clouds.  I got to DC and took the Metro (train) to the other side of town close to Tony's house.  He met me at the Metro stop and I was greeted at the house by 3 very excited children...although I doubt that they actually remember me!  Barnaby is 8, Julian is almost 4, and Meren will be 3 on Tuesday.  The children have been a great bunch of tour guides around the neighborhood and around the house.  Introducing me to all the pets...one guinea pig named McGuiness, and 3 ducks.  Not sure what the ducks' names are but for those of you that know me at all, know that I am terrified of birds and haven't gone near them, nor do I plan on it!!  I will look at them out the back window and feed them with the kids from the top of the stairs :)
